Humility

Humility – A final thought

I have tried to share a range of thoughts and opinions. I imagine that some, with appropriate amounts of skepticism, might take some of what I’ve shared as mental gymnastics and rationalization. Being aware of the danger of self-rationalization, I try to be introspective of my own motives in life. I often ask myself if I am rationalizing my own behavior and beliefs.

All that being said, if you were to ask me for a singular piece of advice it would be simply, “Be thou humble” (D&C 112:10). Humility will lead you to be patient, forgiving, empathetic, loving, charitable, grateful, trusting, and faithful. Be humble, patient, and draw on the strength of God and others; here you will find the greatest accomplishment, joy, and contentment imaginable in this life.

Humility truly is the mother of many virtues.

How has humility influenced your life? What are your thoughts? I welcome your feedback and discussion.
