Of all the words that could be used to describe me I prefer husband and father.

It’s been the greatest joy of my life to partner with my dear wife to bring six beautiful children this world . What a joy it’s been to watch them grow and mature into capable, productive adults, to establish families of their own.

And now to be a grandfather! Life is really paying dividends.

I’ve wished many times since my father passed away nearly three decades ago that I could ask his advice and tap into his wisdom. This blog is an attempt to preserve what little wisdom and insight I’ve gained over the course of my life’s journey. I write primarily for my family, but if others stumble across this, I hope you find some value here.

Among my musings on life, love, happiness and well-being I expect to mix in some thoughts just for fun on topics and hobbies I enjoy: hiking, bicycling, software development, art and literature.

Through this process I will always welcome and encourage your thoughtful input and feedback. A bonus of this project will be achieved if this generates constructive, uplifting dialog and conversation.
